But bananas are pretty cool, right? Like nature's dessert. A gift from God. Maybe even right up there with, you know...family, my existence, chocolate (chocolate should be first, actually, but this is about bananas. Oooh...bananas and chocolate!! Wait. Where was I?) Bananas! Healthy, sweet and in their very own package, relatively safe from all harm and/or pesticides.
Anyway, so that type of day where I blame God for everything, but mainly because of logistics. Blaming the people I live with might involve harsh words and throwing things and I need them all not to hate/be terrified of me today. God, on the other hand, is kind of invisible and has pretty big shoulders and he said several times that he doesn’t mind.
So, I took my grouchy old self to the grocery store and what is all up in my face where the regular bananas are supposed to be? These teeny tiny bananas, lying there in their cute little bunches, totally unaware of their adorableness. Tiny bananas! They always carry them, apparently? I just failed to notice them!! I mean, God had been so accommodating to my mood that day that honestly, I would have felt grateful at the sight of plain old regular bananas. But what are sitting right there in the bin in instead? Their eensy weensy little cousins!!
I didn’t even buy them. Just seeing their cuteness healed my broken spirit. Bandaided my bad attitude. Made me want to weep just a little. Possible that PMS might be a factor also. In retrospect, that probably had some bearing on my bad day as well. Whatever. Tiny bananas.
note: If you have trouble finding my craft blog, that is because it doesn't exist.
Seriously. A craft blog? You don't know me at all yet.
The birds are cute though, aren't they?
